Never use 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, that crap traps dirt and oil on your hair, not to mention cleansing agents. Never use anything to wash your hair other than shampoo; soap is not for your hair. And finally, use conditioner, please ladies…even if you have oily hair, they make conditioner specifically designed for you and it is what protects your hair from the environment and styling products.

1st – Pour (or squeeze) enough shampoo in your hand to cover your hair; usually the size of a quarter, or a half-dollar for longer hair. Rub hands together and apply to wet hair, lather all over and rinse well. This step is mainly to wash away dirt, oil, and the environment from your hair.

2nd – Repeat step one, use the same amount of shampoo as you did in step one. This time really work the shampoo in. This step is designed to clean your scalp and continue to clean the hair shaft. Take your time here, really massage your scalp and get your head really well lathered. Again, rinse well.

3rd – Use your conditioner. Ideally, it is best to use the conditioner that matches and was designed to be used with your shampoo. This step coats your hair shaft as it softens it. Leave the conditioner on your hair for about 2 minutes to allow it to absorb into the hair shaft and follicles. Then rinse well, after those first few minutes the hair has absorbed all of the conditioner that it needs, so leaving excess conditioner on your hair is pointless and can make your hair limp and dull.

If you follow the tips and steps here, you are sure to have beautiful hair that looks and feels terrific. And for those of you lucky enough to not have to wear a wig when you cross dress, your hair will be as girly as you want it to be.

This week, I thought we would discuss the timing of some of the many chores we all go through to be as sensuous as possible. It is possible to over-do it, so the following is an easy to follow guide of how often various beauty routines should be practiced.

Wash your face – It is best to wash your face twice a day, especially if you wear make-up. Never go to sleep with make-up on your face. Also, choose a face cleanser that is suitable for your skin type; if your skin is dry, use a moisturizing cleanser and if your skin is oily, use a cleanser designed to absorb the excess oil.

Apply a mask to your face – Masks are a lot like scrubs. If you have normal or dry skin, once a week is enough to open your pores and / or moisturize your face. If you are acne prone, you should always follow the directions on the label and you will most likely be using it twice or so a week.
Moisturize your face – Always after washing your face. Be sure you to use the right formula for your skin.
Moisturizing your lips – Ok, for this I’d say more is better. Now, I’m not talking about lipstick or god forbid chap stick. A good lip moisturizer makes your lips soft and kissable and should be used as often as necessary to keep your lips in perfect pucker shape.
